English and Maths
This will be taught as rigorously as usual.
In particular we will be looking at; Recounts in the form of letters, fantasy stories based on a fable, paragraphing, use of vocabulary and prepositions for time, place and cause.
In Maths we will be thinking about place value, addition and subtraction mentally as well as formal written methods, the 3,4 and 8 times tables, 2D and 3D shapes, time, fractions, perimeter and handling data.
The Way, The Truth and The Life
Over the next term we will be covering Our Christian Family, thinking about how we belong to different ‘families within the community’, about our Church family as well as Mary, Our Mother.
Foundation Subjects
This term in our art lessons we will be focusing on sea life involving painting and colour mixing.
In Geography we will be looking at the UK geographical and coastal regions as well as thinking about the physical features; seas, coasts and oceans. In the second half term we will study global positioning, looking at maps and atlases as well as concentrating on the Arctic Circle and Mountains.
We will discover all about humans and other animals in Science, concentrating on our bones, muscles and diet within humans and animals.
We will be developing our skills in PE through tag rugby, basketball, volleyball and QAA.
