Admissions

Choosing the right school for your child is an important and exciting decision for your whole family. At St. Theresa’s, we would be delighted to welcome you for a personal visit, giving you the opportunity to meet us, explore our school and see first-hand what makes our community so special.

Nursery admissions

Children are welcomed into our Foundation Stage 1 class (Nursery) the term after they turn 3 years old. We offer funded places for up to 15 hours per week, mornings only. For more information, please see the letter and application form attached below or you are welcome to call into school where our friendly office staff will be happy to help you.

School admissions

Children start in Foundation Stage 2 Class (Reception) in the September of the school year that they celebrate their 5th birthday. All applications for Reception are made to and processed by Cheshire West and Chester Council. You can apply online by visiting the following link:

School admissions | Cheshire West and Chester Council

You will be required to create an account and it is important to make a note of your password as this will be required to access the outcome of your application. If you need any assistance with this, the Council offer a helpline on 03001237039.

In-Year admissions

Applications can be made at any time during the school year for any year group where places are available. In-year applications should be made through the Council using the website link provided above.

We warmly encourage families to visit St. Theresa’s before applying. We would be delighted to welcome you, show you around our school and give you the opportunity to experience our friendly and caring school community.

We aim to let families know the outcome of their application as quickly as possible and, in all cases, within 10 working days.

If a place is not currently available, you may request for your child to be added to our waiting list.

Further information about in-year applications, waiting lists and our admissions arrangements can be found in our Admissions Policy below.
