Using the Internet Safely

At St. Theresa’s, keeping our children safe on-line is very important to us.  To do this effectively, it is vital we work together with our families.  The virtual world is ever-growing and it can feel very daunting as a parent to try to keep up and keep our children safe.

Clicking on the link below will take you to Internet matters. This website was set up by the big four internet providers and is aimed at supporting parents to keep their children safe online when using the internet, mobile devices, apps and gaming consoles. By clicking on ‘Control’ it allows you to select your device and it will give you simple to follow guides on how to set up effective parent and safety controls. 



For Foundation and Key Stage 1 pupils, click on the link below to enter Hector's world.  Through playing an interactive game, children will learn about staying safe when using the internet.



For our older children in Key Stage 2, click on the link below to learn about the possible dangers of chat rooms among other things.
